Who we are
At the age of nine, Kristen drew up a business plan to fill a need in her community and serve others while making the lives of local canines a little bit brighter. After majoring in canine science in high school at Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School and continuing that pathway in college at North Shore Community College, her passion for dogs and education continued to grow. Exhibiting in the NH 4-H dog program, AKC Junior Showmanship and showing purebred dogs excelled Kristen's handling and adaptability with dogs. Kristen served as a chapter and state FFA officer where her strong values in service, integrity, and responsibility settled at the heart of Kristen's mission to make the lives of the dogs and people around her a little bit brighter with every interaction.

Whether purebred or mixed breed, Kristen loves all dogs, but is especially fond of sporting breeds. She shares her life and adventures with two English Cocker Spaniels, Ernie and Tessa.

The meaning behind the name
Finding our true north is the discovery of our authentic self and how we can use our gifts and passions to pursue what we were created for. Once we find which way is north on our compass, we can dive into a new adventure. The journey, however, is what makes all the difference. Whether our steps are small or large is not important, what is important is that we continue to learn, take action and help others, to make the world around us a better place for the people, animals and plants who fill it with beauty.
